A couple of posts on the Steam Deck Twitter page have made it clear that the system runs anywhere between 0 and 35 degrees Celsius. Due to the high temperatures that many experienced at the start of this week, such as in the UK which saw record-breaking figures, Valve urges people to be careful, as exposing the Deck to temperatures higher than 35 degrees may “throttle” the performance. The follow-up tweet says that the APU, or Accelerated Processing Unit, can withstand 100 degrees, but at 105, the device will shut down....

Bethesda Softworks, for example, has been able to take their wildly popular Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises and bring to the console and PC masses. However, there is one console that Bethesda appears to be neglecting: the Wii U. That isn’t to say Bethesda is purposefully avoiding Wii U development, they just have nothing announced in development. At the same time, this shouldn’t come as a shock because Bethesda’s Pete Hines can’t even remember the last time the developer shipped a game on a Nintendo console....

That’s exactly what Bethesda’s vice-president of marketing, Pete Hines, said at QuakeCon. The Bethesda executive revealed that the publisher is happy with the possibility of “more robust hardware” on the horizon, stating that “we’re big fans of it.” Personally, Hines also said that “I think that kind of stuff is great.” However, the executive was quick to point out that, given how little has been seen of each project thus far, more specific plans for the consoles in question aren’t exactly on the table just yet....

Even Skyrim’s Anniversary Edition has some game-breaking bugs. Given that this re-release came out just last year, with the studio implementing some additional features, such as Creation Club mods, many would be forgiven for thinking that Bethesda would have tackled some of the major defects that have been plaguing the game for nearly 11 years. Fortunately, it looks as though at least this one specific issue has now been taken care of....

Specifically, the job listing is for the role of Senior Core Tech Engineer, to help “maintain, optimize, and extend our core engine technology.” Within the posting, there are many of the usual asks, with required skills such as years of experience in C++ programming, but there is one request under the desired skills section that has caught the eye. There, Bethesda Game Studios is asking for the core tech engineer to have “experience developing for online multiplayer environment....

Bethesda’s Todd Howard was interviewed by IGN after the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, revealing a ton of additional details about Starfield and what fans can expect from the game in the process. During the interview, Howard touched on Starfield’s length compared to other games by Bethesda. According to Howard, Starfield’s main quest is longer than Skyrim and Fallout, estimating that it has about “20%” more quests than those games....

For Skyrim, Bethesda has taken a more Apple-like approach in an effort to catch the eye of a more casual gamer.
